Hi! My name is Kika. Welcome to my page full of handmade greeting cards. I love crafting of all kinds - from scrapbooking, painting, to any kind of needlework (visit my other blogs, too - right sidebar).
Cardmaking is a special form of crafting - whether we're wishing someone well, inviting them to a party, saying thank you or just celebrate a holiday, there's plenty of occasions in life where a handmade card says it all. However, it might happen that new ideas can be hard to come by. That's where I'd like to help. Just make a coffee, sit down and look to my page for some ideas, inspiration or step-by-step tutorials. Enjoy the time!

Tu by som chcela pomôcť. Urobte si kávičku, pohodlne sa usaďte a pozrite si moje stránky, nájdite nové nápady, inšpirácie alebo krok za krokom návody. Nech sa páči.

Welcome Baby!

Hi! This is the second card I finished right now. It's for a newborn baby and the image is again from FTHS. I did it for the latest FTHS challenge, Nr. 149. I colored the image with professional watercolors and for background I used the papers from Crelando. The feet dies are from Marianne Design.

Colorful Flowers

Hi, how are you? Today I made a card with a Free of the month stamp from FTHS - this beautiful flower stamp. I printed it 3 times and made a layered decoupage image set into the ornamental frame. I colored the image with waterbased markers. For the background I used the red embossed paper which nicely complements the image. I enter the Monthly challenge at FTHS with this card.

Wedding card

Hi! This time I'm fast enough for a weekly sketch challenge at FTHS :-) I created this lovely, elegant card for wedding and decided to keep it all clean and white, besides the image. That one I colored with soft watercolor pencils and water brush. I used wonderful heart dies from Nellie's choice and a beautiful embossing folder I have found yesterday in my latest issue of Cardmaking and Papercraft magazine (May 2016). The embossed border I combined with a decorative borders which I made with daisy border punch. All that I enhanced with a thin snow-white twine. I hope you'd like the result as much as I do ;-)

Wedding set "Pink"

Hello! I would like to share my new set of wed card and a photo box . It's all handmade including flowers. I made them by swirl cutting of pink paper by decorative scallop scissors. For other decor I used various dies, border punch, etc.

"Some Friends are worth melting for!" - a slight modification of lovely quote of Olaf (snowman from Disney movie "Frozen") transmitted from snow to crayons :-))) I cut out these color crayons from scrap cardstocks, "wrapped" with parchment paper and decorated with black labels. Then I made the real melted scripts with crayons heated by the candle. Here the outcome!

Flowers for Mother

Good morning! Weekend has just started and I would like to share the creation I made last evening. I played around with latest  FTHS sketch challenge (Nr. 147) and this is the result. I love this elegant image with daffodils. I combined it with scrap papers from my box and colored in matching tones. Then I enhanced the card with green paper ribbon (this I haven't used since a while - what a nice change :-)) I embossed the background dark yellow paper with oval embossing folder from the April issue of Cardmaking and Papercraft magazine (Nr. 155) and that's it!
