Hi! My name is Kika. Welcome to my page full of handmade greeting cards. I love crafting of all kinds - from scrapbooking, painting, to any kind of needlework (visit my other blogs, too - right sidebar).
Cardmaking is a special form of crafting - whether we're wishing someone well, inviting them to a party, saying thank you or just celebrate a holiday, there's plenty of occasions in life where a handmade card says it all. However, it might happen that new ideas can be hard to come by. That's where I'd like to help. Just make a coffee, sit down and look to my page for some ideas, inspiration or step-by-step tutorials. Enjoy the time!
Tu by som chcela pomôcť. Urobte si kávičku, pohodlne sa usaďte a pozrite si moje stránky, nájdite nové nápady, inšpirácie alebo krok za krokom návody. Nech sa páči.

Hi! I was really busy this time before Christmas, no much time for cardmaking. Just few cards for my customers, mostly a repetition of older cards. This envelope I made for myself, better said for my son's giftcard. It was unusually big envelope, 24 x 12 cm, therefore I had to use A3 size cardstock to create a blank envelope (actually from the size of 26 x 30 cm). For the front side I used the designer paper with vintage flowers, die-cut "Merry Christmas" sentiment from Spellbinders and a white satin ribbon.
And, you see, this is a perfect entry for Crafty Hazelnuts challenge this week, because the challenge is: "Anything goes as long as it's Christmas or Optional theme: something beginning with S".
There are some things going on S - sentiment, or satin ribbon :-)

This is a lovely and simple bookmark made by our son for his charity school project. He used just two colors of cardstock paper and an ornamental cutting die. For the top of the bookmark he used the decorative corner scissors.

Hi! Yesterday I made this lovely bookmark for my beloved husband. I just wanted to give him something nice and little and handmade from heart. He is a book-warm, so it fits.
I found an inspiration in the latest issue of Cardmaking and Papercraft magazine (September 2017) where I found 5 great embossing folders. One of them has this beautiful flower theme.
I cut a stripe of white cardstock paper, 3 x 14,6 cm and embossed with the embossing folder. I turned the embossed motif up-side down and traced the lines with color gel pens. I matted the white stripe with baby blue paper, 3,5 x 14,6 cm.
To make the yellow bookmark, I cut a piece 5,5 cm wide and long about 18 cm. To get the top cut on the bookmark I used the ornamental square frame die, placed it diagonally on the bookmark and cut only through one corner of the die. With double sided adhesive tape I glued the colored motive on the bookmark. Then I punched the hole and embellished with yellow-white bakers twine and three matching wooden beads.
Material I used:
cardstock - scraps of white, baby blue and yellow
embossing folder - free gift from Cardmaking and Papercraft magazine (September 2017)
square frame die - Xcut, embossing machine
bakers twine - yellow-white

Hi! We have a great sunny weather here and that's perfect for weddings. I´ve just made this lovely silver card with initials on the box. As you can see I used plenty of dies (Marianne Designs, Die Sires, Sizzix, etc.) and flower punches, and lots of silver gems around this piece. Thanks for watching.

Hallo! I hope you all are fine today. I've just finished this wedding card. Couple of weddings are gonna be around, so I started to create. Not to do it in the last minute, as usually.
This card is 12 x 12 cm and I used and combined several different cutting dies, eg. for frame (Nellie's choice), circle (Die-Versions), leaves (various dies and punches), rings (Marianne Designs). Flowers are from local shop. I embellished the card satin ribbon, with glass gems and liquid pearls.

Hello! This lovely card is made for the cute twin boys. It's a card I played with for couple of days until I found the right layout and embellishments. My customer wanted a card for christening with that photo :-)
I used lots of dies and punches to create flowers (Mariannne Designs), leaves (Marianne Designs, Sizzix), cross (Leanne Creatif), frames (Marianne Designs), etc. as you can see on pictures. To keep it elegant, I stayed only with 2 colors - white and pastel green. The same I did with a gift box.

Hi! I created this card for my niece. I used a pretty flower stamp which I printed once on the background paper and twice on scrap papers from which I cut out the flowers. I colored them with watercolors - pink and orange. I sprayed the background with black ink and embellished with 2 contrast washi tapes. I added the sentiment and glued the flowers on top.

Hi! This card I made for my friends birthday. I used a great die for background which I smudged with pink chalk all around and sprayed with pink watercolor. The paperflower is embellished with white ornaments, green leaves and pink liquid pearls. The stamped sentiment says "All the best wishes for your birthday".
Hi! Here is my latest wedding card. I wanted to make something elegant, simple and yet, a bit exclusive.
I decided for a simple combination of white and yellow color. For the background I used an embossed pattern. The main motif - wed couple is circled with golden glass gems all around and embellished with leaves.

This is my favorite color combination. My friend's gonna have a "nameday" - that's a day, when you find your name in national calendar. It means, all people in a country carrying that name celebrate :-)
Because my friend loves these colors as well, I made a card for her. I used whatever I found in my crafting room. Border dies from Die'sire, butterfly die from Cardmaking and Papercraft magazine, dies for tag and various leaves. Flowers I got from a local store.

Hi! I have a friend, who recently turned 40 and I wanted to make a nice gift for her. I bought a present which was nicely packed in that beautiful gift box with a big bow and I wanted to make a card which would fit to that style. I found a perfect paper from Docrafts, which I embellished with roses from Hunkydory decoupage set and my own leaves, Nr. 40 and oval frame are from Marianne Design.
There is a folder inside the card for a gift certificate and a page with greetings. Butterfly is a die - free gift from March issue 167 of Cardmaking and Papercraft magazine.
